BG to Slash Jobs in UK and Australia

LNG player BG Group of UK is reportedly cutting nearly 300 jobs in Britain and making significant cuts in Australia, where it is developing the US$20.4 QCLNG project.

BG plans to cut about a quarter of the staff at its head office in Reading, England and would make significant reductions to its 1,000 employees in Australia, The Times newspaper reported.

The company is active in more than 20 countries and employs around 5,500 people.
