Bibby Offshore in ‘multimillion pound’ deal with ‘global energy player’

Bibby Offshore, the UK-based subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, will provide first gas and construction support for an undisclosed client on its assets in the Southern North Sea, off UK.

Bibby said that the contract, will see its construction support vessel Olympic Ares, and its diving support vessel Bibby Polaris, perform subsea engineering work 150km off the coast of Lincolnshire, in water depths of 21m and 48m. The contract is  due to be executed between Q3 and Q4 2016.

The subsea services company said the client was ‘a global energy player’. Regarding the contract value, Bibby did not go into details either. It sad the deal was “a multimillion pound” contract.

Workscope

The workscope, which includes precommissioning and commissioning support, involves Bibby Offshore carrying out a range of construction services comprising valve operations, spool installation, umbilical pull in and lay, trenching and stabilisation through installation of concrete mattresses.

The contract is Bibby Offshore’s second construction project with the client, following a previous successful campaign in 2015.
