The engineering and services group Bilfinger has again secured an extension of the contract with BP for the maintenance of oil and gas production facilities in the Norwegian part of North Sea.

Bilfinger extends facilities maintenance contract with BP

In the coming two years, the company will deliver extensive corrosion protection, insulation and scaffolding works for BP at the Ula, Valhall and Skarv fields. The order volume is approximately €50 million.

Extension of the agreement with BP is already the second major success in the Norwegian oil and gas sector this year. Just recently the Group won a new contract with Statoil with a volume of about €40 million.

“In industrial services, we want to continuously expand our position in attractive markets,” says Pieter Koolen, Member of the Executive Board at Bilfinger SE. “In order to move development in the oil and gas business forward, our activities in this sector have been combined in a single Oil and Gas division since January 2014.”
