BlueGreen Alliance Urges Ohio Governor to Keep Renewable Energy Standard

After the Ohio State House of Representatives and State Senate recently approved legislation to undercut Ohio’s renewable energy standards, the legislation now goes to Governor John Kasich’s desk.

BlueGreen Alliance Urges Ohio Governor to Keep Renewable Energy StandardThe following statement is by David Foster, Executive Director of the BlueGreen Alliance“We urge Governor Kasich to veto S.B. 310, a bill that if signed into law would send a strong signal to renewable energy and energy efficiency companies that Ohio is not a welcoming place for their companies to grow and create jobs.

“Ohioans overwhelmingly support policies like the renewable energy standard that work to lower consumer energy costs, stimulate the economy, reinvigorate the manufacturing sector and save energy.

“The renewable energy standard and energy efficiency efforts have helped Ohio gain a foothold in the clean economy. Now is not the time to roll back this progress.”
