Borsa Italiana welcomes Fincantieri

Fincantieri is one of the largest shipbuilding groups in the world, operating in the design and construction of complex ships with high technological capabilities, such as merchant and naval vessels, offshore and mega yachts.

Fincantieri raised €351 million at IPO, valuing the business at €1.32 billion.  Unicredit were the sponsor and Banca IMI were responsible for the placement. Banca IMI, Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and UniCredit were global coordinators of the offering.

Raffaele Jerusalmi, CEO of Borsa Italiana, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fincantieri, a company defining Italian excellence in shipbuilding, on Borsa Italiana’s main market. Fincantieri is the 14th company to list since the beginning of 2014. In the first six months of 2014, €10.5 billion has been raised on Borsa Italiana markets, including both listings and further capital raises. This confirms Borsa Italiana’s central role in supporting Italian companies in their growth and development projects”.
