BP awards Angelin deal to Add Energy

Energy consultancy provider Add Energy has been awarded a maintenance build contract with BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC for work on the Angelin offshore gas field.

Add Energy said that the contract would see the company carry out the development of a full asset maintenance build.

Under the terms of the agreement, the company will also deliver an asset register, and functional hierarchy build, equipment criticality assignment, development of maintenance strategies for critical and non-critical equipment, job plans and procedures, critical sparing, and BoMs development.

The eight-month project will be led by Add Energy’s technical manager, Julio Monsalve, and will cover 6,500 equipment tags. As part of this contract win, Add Energy recruited four new personnel in Houston to support the project delivery.

Angelin

BP approved the Angelin project, a development located 60 kilometers offshore Trinidad and Tobago’s east coast, in early June. The project will feature the construction of a new platform – bpTT’s 15th offshore production facility – in a water depth of approximately 65 meters. Shortly after the sanctioning, McDermott was awarded a contract to provide a turnkey EPCIC solution to design, procure, fabricate, transport, install and commission a six-slot wellhead platform and 26-inch subsea pipeline for the project.

The development will include four wells and will have a production capacity of approximately 600 million standard cubic feet of gas a day (mmscfd). Gas from Angelin will flow to the Serrette platform hub via a new 21-kilometer pipeline.

Drilling is due to start in the third quarter of 2018 and first gas from the platform is expected in the first quarter of 2019.
