BP to Use Island Constructor for Well Intervention on Skarv Field

BP Norge AS (BP) has received approval to use Island Constructor for well intervention on the Skarv field in the Norwegian Sea.

The approval has been granted by Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) and covers work on well 6507/3-D-2H at Skarv.

The Island Constructor vesse,l which will be used for the work, is operated by Island Offshore Management, and received the PSA’s Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in September 2010.

The Skarv field was discovered in 1998 and it is situated 210 kilometres west of the Norwegian coast.

The water depth at the site is approximately 350-450 metres.
