Intergraph's Engineering Software to Build Topsides for Six FPSOs

Tomé Ferrostaal, a joint venture between Tomé Engenharia and Ferrostaal in Brazil, has selected Intergraph SmartMarine Enterprise solutions, distributed by Sisgraph, as part of a project with Petrobras, one of the world’s largest energy companies. Intergraph’s enterprise engineering software will be used to construct the topsides of six identical floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, which will be built in Brazil.

Tomé Ferrostaal will use these leading-edge Intergraph enterprise engineering solutions for the construction of the topsides: SmartMarine 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Review, CAESAR II® and PV Elite®. In addition to the software, Sisgraph will provide training and on-site support for the project.

Sérgio Miranda, automation systems coordinator at Tomé Ferrostaal said:

“By using the Intergraph technology solutions distributed by Sisgraph, we expect to boost productivity and project quality, and also to reduce project time and errors, especially by having on-site technical support.”

Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine president, said:

“This is the first major offshore project for Tomé Ferrostaal, and in choosing Intergraph as its technology provider, Tomé Ferrostaal reinforces our leading position in the Brazilian offshore market. For this important project, Tomé Ferrostaal recognizes the safety, quality and productivity benefits that our enterprise solutions offer.”

Sisgraph, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been a distributor of Intergraph solutions in South America for more than 30 years. Intergraph and Sisgraph are part of Hexagon.
