Jurong Aracruz Shipyard to Hold Closing Ceremony for 330 Students

The Jurong Aracruz Shipyard (EJA) will hold the certificate delivery ceremony to 330 students from the first class of the Professional Training Program on September 11th at the First Baptist Church of Aracruz.  The courses were taught in partnership with educational institutions such as Student House University (FACE) and SENAI, in partnership with the municipalities of Aracruz, Fundão, Ibiraçu and João Neiva.

It is a project of environmental responsibility implemented by the company, which aims on sustainable development of the region and surrounding areas of Aracruz. The Jurong Aracruz Shipyard is working on an extensive professional education project for about 670 workers, divided into two stages.

The project consists in 25 courses, with 3780 hours of training and improvement. The candidates, mostly, are residents of the municipality of Aracruz, especially in the areas directly affected by the project – Vila do Riacho, Barra do Riacho, Barra do Sahy, Coqueiral and Aracruz’s own headquarters. Of the 330 students, 238 are of Aracruz, equivalent to 72% and the remaining 28% of the municipalities of João Neiva, Ibiraçu and Fundão.

The program has continued in the second half with the promotion of courses Electrical Building Installations, Electrical, Industrial Automation, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Welder (Eletr. Lined, MIG, TIG), Hydraulic Plumber, Environmental Management, Maintenance Electrician, Industrial Plumber, Human Resources Assistant, Caretaker of Elderly and Surgical Instrumentation. The lessons of this courses from the second stage of the program, which will start on August 27, will be taught by Fundação João Batista/ College of Aracruz and Technical School PREMIER CEDTEC.
