BSEE Releases Hurricane Response Operations Video (USA)

As BSEE Safety Month draws to a close, the Bureau released a video highlighting the work of Hurricane Response Team members in monitoring potential impact and damage to oil and gas operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

BSEE’s focus is protecting oil and gas industry personnel and the environment during extreme weather events associated with hurricane season.

Team members explain their roles and how the team helps to support BSEE’s goal of safety at all levels, at all times. The 2013 hurricane season runs through November 30th with 18 named storms and 9 hurricanes (4 major) predicted by the National Hurricane Center.
