Caixa Economica Federal and FIRJAN announced their participation as sponsors of the major industry event Accelerate Oil & Gas 2013 which will be taking place on 21-22 May, at the Windsor Barra Hotel, Rio de Janeiro.

Once again, FIRJAN will be not only exhibiting but it will bring a delegation of associate industries and business members to liaise with some 250 local and international oil & gas industry representatives including the state –run oil governing body Petrobras and other government institutions. Furthermore, FIRJAN will be amongst the speakers with a presentation to highlight the importance of technological growth and involvement of State of Rio de Janeiro industry.

The Federation, which represents about 16,000 companies in the State of Rio de Janeiro, has actively sponsored 1st edition of Accelerate Oil & Gas event, as a way to present the program called “FIRJAN System” to local and international investors. The program aims to search and identify opportunities and the realization of new deals between companies in the State. FIRJAN is planning to highlight further businesses through “Meeting Scheduler” online system of Accelerate Oil & Gas 2013“

The second largest public bank in terms of assets, Caixa Economica Federal engages in various business activities including real estate loans, basic sanitation, urban infrastructure, and commercial banking, as well as urban and social development work will be presented by Eugenia Regina de Melo, Superintendent of Oil & Gas in the opening remarks along with Julio Bueno, Secretary of the State for Economic, Energy, Industry and Services of Rio de Janeiro (SEDEIS), Renata Baruzzi, Executive Manager of Engineering, Technology and Development of Petrobras / President of EC-EPC, Anthony Muller President of ABEMI and Vice President CE-EPC, Marcio Rocha Mello, CEO at HRT and Mauritius Syrio Alves – Head of Dept. of Oil, Gas and Marine at FINEP. In addition to the opening remarks, Eugenia R. Melo will be holding a speech at the “New models & tools in the financial system to facilitate access for funds available in Oil & Gas sector” session while FIRJAN will be represented by Alexandre dos Reis, Director of Investor Relations in the closing remarks.
