Prime Minister Visits Kribi Port Project

On August 6th, Prime Minister of Cameroon Philémon Yang, along with approximately ten Heads of Department from the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Lands and Titles, Ministry of Public Works etc, inspected the Kribi Deep-Water Port Project.

The Charge D’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon, Chang Lin was also a member of the project inspection team.

Prime Minister Philémon Yang first attended a hearing of the Project Department’s report on the development and progress of the project, after which an inspection of the construction site was carried out, along with ascertaining the main points of a caisson shipping installation, land filling and dredging work, and furthermore looking towards sequentially advancing various construction sections with complete approval.

Kribi Deep-Water Port Project is one of the most important construction works in Cameroon, with the government attaching high importance to it. The project, which was completed without a hitch, evoked great satisfaction and confidence towards CHEC’s strength from the Prime Minister and various Ministerial members upon inspection of the port.

There was also a great establishment on trust that the Cameroon Market will become of greater significance to CHEC and there will be continued development and expansion of the Cameroon Market.
