Based in Singapore, Marina will be responsible for developing Steelhead’s business in Asia as well as leading the negotiations of LNG offtake contracts, according to a Steelhead statement.

Marina is an energy and investment management executive with 20 years of global experience in gas and LNG contracts negotiations and contract management.

During her time at Shell and Gazprom, she worked on a wide range of gas and LNG infrastructure projects, as well as structured and negotiated multibillion dollar arrangements, LNG sales agreements, and pipeline gas sales agreements, including Russian natural gas sales to China, the statement said.

“Marina possesses a unique background at the intersection of the gas and investment industries, and we are excited for the advantages that this creates for Steelhead and our customers,” said Steelhead LNG CEO Nigel Kuzemko.

“With her global perspective, deep connections within the LNG industry, and ability to establish alignment between LNG sales and project financing, Marina will be an invaluable part of our efforts to provide clean, low-cost natural gas from Canada to growing energy markets in Asia,” he added.

Steelhead LNG is developing the Kwispaa LNG project in British Columbia on Vancouver Island with up to 24 million tonnes per annum export of proposed capacity.
