M/V Centennial Harmony ‘All Clear’ after Reporting Water Ingress

Panama-flagged bulker M/V Centennial Harmony has managed to restore power and is no longer in need of assistance, the Canadian Coast Guard informed on November 15.

The ship got into trouble off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, 90 nautical miles of the Hibernia Platform, on Thursday. Namely, the crew of the 2001-built bulker requested help from the coast guard as the vessel started taking on water. As informed, there were no risks to the offshore platform.

Canadian multi patrol vessel CCGS Sir Wilfred Grenfell was sent to the scene in coordination with other assets from Canadian’s Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC).

With the assistance of the coast guard, the ship’s crew managed to restore power and resume its voyage. The ship is listed as part of K Centennial Maritime B.V. ‘s fleet, an Amsterdam-based private limited company, owned by Japanese Meiji Shipping, according to the data from VesselsValue.
