Chile: ENAP Names Carlos Diaz as New Director

The Council of CORFO appointed Mr. Carlos Díaz Vergara as Director of Empresa Nacional del Petróleo, ENAP, to replace Francisco Gana Eguiguren.

Carlos Díaz is a Commercial Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has a Master of Arts in Economy from the University of California. He has extensive experience in Boards of Directors of private and public companies, such as Empresas Santa Carolina and Telefónica, and is currently Chairman of the Consejo Consultivo Previsional (Pension Advisory Council) and vice president of Trenes Metropolitanos S.A.

He previously served as an advisor of the Board of Directors of Watt’s S.A. and participated in several research and consulting projects related to competition, economic valuation of companies and projects, pensions and urban freight, among other topics.
