ENAP Reorganizes Top Management

As of April 16th, 2012, ENAP’s CEO, Ricardo Cruzat Ochagavía, announced that Empresa Nacional del Petróleo, ENAP, has decided to reorganize its top management in order to adjust its structure to the new scenario faced by the company by optimizing its business areas.

From this date, the refining, logistics and commercialization business will be concentrated in the Refining and Commercialization Management, which will be led by Julio Bertrand Planella, until now, the company’s Commercial Manager. Julio Bertrand is a Civil Industrial Engineer of the Universidad Católica, and MBA of the Adelaide University of Australia. As part of his new responsibilities, Bertrand also assumes as General Manager of Enap Refinerías S.A.

As part of this new corporate structure, Mr. Hesketh Streeter was appointed Exploration and Production Manager. He is a British Geologist of the London University with 38 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Hesketh Streeter worked during 20 years for BP, where he held several positions at a senior level in technical and operations management in the United States, Latin America, North Sea and Middle East. It is worth noting his work as General Manager in Mexico and Iran, and Operations Manager in Norway and Colombia. Currently, he was Vice-President of Upstream Consultant and Business Development for Latin America at Wood Mackenzie.

He will be responsible for the management of all activities related to exploration and production of hydrocarbons in deposits in Chile and abroad.

Hesketh Streeter, also assumes the General Management of the subsidiary Enap Sipetrol S.A. in replacement of Rodrigo Bloomfield, who, as of today, will assume as the company’s Planning and Control Manager.

ENAP’s CEO, Ricardo Cruzat indicated that these changes aim to “concentrate and align efforts to those functions and processes with greater strategic impact to the company”.
