The Chilean Navy evacuated 89 passengers and 31 crew from the cruise ship Skorpios II that ran ashore yesterday some fourteen kilometres south west from the city of Puerto Montt.

The navy says that most of the 89 passengers were foreign tourists on a sightseeing tour. All 120 people aboard were safely removed from the ship with no reported injuries.
