The special coating project by inorganic zinc paint of M.T “Gulf Fanatir” was finished recently by the Boluomiao Shipyard. Inorganic zinc paint as the world’s top grade marine paint, its technology standards are very high. If the inorganic zinc paint coating is not up to the requirements, it is very difficulty to repair, and it could very easily lead to great waste of the material.

This special coating project by inorganic zinc paint was for eight (8) cargo oil tanks, totally more the 8000 square meters. The shipyard paid high attention and organized coating working group to charge the special coating project.

Before the ship entering into the shipyard, the working group selected two working teams and trained them how to use of the inorganic zinc paint. They organized the experienced blasting and painting masters to show the operations on-site, so that the workers could learn. In order to ensure the working teams can master the entire detailed construction scheme, the working group also laid down the cargo oil tank special coating instructions and issued to each working team. The hull workshop and docking repair workshop made early the production arrangement to insure the equipment in good working condition.

During the working period, as the workers had undergone the rigorous training, they operated exactly according to the quality standards. The special coating from the sand blasting and coating inspection was passed by one time.
