 China COSL Announces Delivery of HYSY708 Deepwater Engineering Survey Vessel (2)

COSL, an oilfield services provider in the offshore China market, announced today that its deepwater engineering survey vessel “HYSY708” was successfully delivered in Guangzhou. Mr. Cao Shujie, Vice President of COSL and representatives from the ship builder CSSC Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding Company Limited attended the delivery ceremony.

HYSY708 is one of the large-scale deepwater vessels COSL invests and builds for deepwater oil and gas exploration and development. It is also a designated vessel for academic research purposes under the National Science and Technology Major Projects, namely Deepwater Survey Vessel and Ancillary Technologies.

HYSY708, being an important member of COSL’s deepwater equipment portfolio, is capable of operating in depths of up to 3000 meters with a drilling capability at 600 meters below sea level and a maximum crane lift capability of 150 tonnes.

The vessel is designed with advanced technologies, sophisticated systems and optimized equipment configurations and is capable of performing deepwater geophysical services and geological drilling engineering projects in depths up to 3,000 meters. It exhibits good stability during sampling operating and has strong endurance and resilience against hectic oceanic winds and tides.
