China Oilfield Services Limited announced that its deepwater survey vessel “HYSY708” was successfully delivered in Guangzhou. Mr. Cao Shujie, Vice President of COSL and representatives from the ship builder CSSC Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding Company Limited attended the delivery ceremony.

HYSY708 is one of the large-scale deepwater vessels COSL invests and builds for deepwater oil and gas exploration and development. It is also a designated vessel for academic research purposes under the National Science and Technology Major Projects, namely Deepwater Survey Vessel and Ancillary Technologies.

The vessel is designed with advanced technologies, sophisticated systems and optimized equipment configurations and is capable of performing deepwater geophysical services and geological drilling engineering projects in depths up to 3,000 meters. It exhibits good stability during sampling operating and has strong endurance and resilience against hectic oceanic winds and tides.

HYSY708 is equipped with electric propulsion, dynamic positioning and a variety of advanced automatic equipment, and is a highly integrated world-class deepwater survey vessel. Its proprietary design and construction have filled in a vacuum in this area in the domestic market in China.

The delivery of HYSY708 remarks a solid step COSL has made towards the deep-water engineering survey field and will further enhance the Group’s competitiveness in deepwater businesses.
