China: JHI Improves Steel Plate Pre-Treatment Process

Recently Jinhai Heavy Industry introduced the flame heating process that has been added into the steel plate pre-treatment production line to enhance the quality and speed up the process, meeting the demand of updated PSPC standard for painting. It is reported that the latest high-power flame pre-heater, a substitute for electricity pre-heater, successfully accomplished trial running and achieved remarkable results.

Firstly, speed up the steel plate heating process.

The flame pre-heater could reach the required temperature a few seconds after starting the pre-heater, making the moisture in the steel plate evaporate promptly, and extend the deadline for storage period.

Secondly, enhance the stability of steel plate temperature.

During the pre-heating process, the surface of steel plate would have the constant temperature between 50℃~60℃ assuring the stability of pre- treatment.

Thirdly, improve the decontamination effect.

Oil stains on the surface of steel plate would be burned down quickly. The new pre-heater totally has changed the traditional way to clean stains manually, which reducing the manpower and material consumption as well as provide with a better condition for the following production procedures.
