China: LNG Imports Climb in August

China, the world’s biggest energy consumer, imported 1,1 million tons of liquefied natural gas in August, up 3.53 percent compared to a year earlier, when the country imported 1,05 million tonnes, customs data showed.

The LNG cargoes were shipped from Australia, Qatar, Indonesia, Russia and Malaysia.

The country imported 1,3 million tons of LNG in July.
