China: May LNG Imports Up 17.8 Percent

China, the world’s biggest energy consumer, imported 1,14 million tons of liquefied natural gas in May, up 17,8 percent compared to a year earlier, customs data showed.

In January-May, cumulative LNG imports came to 5,45 million tons.

The country imported 1,06 million tons of LNG in April, up 24 percent on year.
