Steel Cutting Ceremony of 77.8m PSV Held at Yuexin Shipyard

On June 16th 2012, the Steel Cutting ceremony of 77.8m DP2 Platform Supply/Oil Recovery Vessel YX3189 was held at Yuexin’s Sub-Module Factory.

The vessel will measure 77.8m in length with a moulded breath of 17.6m and a moulded depth of 7.8m, and the maximum draught is 6.4m. It can carry 60 men, 1100m3 of fuel oil, 1100m3 of drill water, 600 m3 of fresh water, 700m3 of mud and 280 m3 of dry bulk.

The designed bollard pull reaches 65t and the designed speed reaches 13.5 knots. Built to ABS Class notation, the vessel has the function of platform supply, fire fighting and oil recovery, which can recover up to 740 m3 oil at one time, playing an important role in protecting marine environment.
