China: Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Adds Duo

Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (KASC) has secured a contract to build two 4,350 teu container vessels.

As Seatrade reports quoting the Chinese shipyard, the deal signed with an unnamed foreign shipowner comes with an option to build two more similar vessels.

Delivery of the first vessel is scheduled for June 2015.

KASC stands on the north bank of the lower-reaches of Yangtze River and covers an area of 880,000 squares meters. The shipyard employs more than 9,000 staffs and workers, among them there are 800 plus various technicians, which includes 400 engineers and senior engineers.
