Yuchai to Present Its Diesel Engine at WCIF

Recently, according to sources from CSR Yuchai Sichuan Engine Co., Ltd. (CSR Yuchai), the company’s independently developed large-power medium-speed NY9320 will appear at the equipment manufacturing pavilion of the 13th Western China International Fair (WCIF).

In recent years, CSR Yuchai has pressed ahead with independent innovation based on its tremendous engine R & D and manufacturing resources. Since 2010, the company has invested heavily in independently developing NY9320 high-end engine. The first NY9320 large-power engine was assembled in September 2011 and succeeded in commissioning on October 26, 2011.

Sources said NY9320 weighing up to 62 tons might be rated as a “giant” among diesel engines. The model uses several advanced technologies including modularized structure and automatic safety monitoring device. All key parts, including body, crankshaft and connecting rod, are localized. The leading design concept, advanced technology, extensible configuration space, wide application scope, convenience of test and repair, interchangeability of key parts, and low operation and maintenance cost make the model characterized by simplicity, high strength, high economy, low emission, long life and maintainability. The model enjoys technology and price advantages over similar domestic and overseas models, and great market potential in the domestic fields of main and auxiliary marine power and onshore power generation.

CSR Yuchai’s “large, medium & small-power engine industrialization project” and “high-end marine engine manufacturing project” have been listed among Sichuan’s prioritized emerging strategic projects.
