Yuexin Shipyard Lays Keel for 32m ASD YX3177

On April 16th 2012, the Keel-Laying ceremony of Yuexin’s 32m ASD YX3177 was held at Yuexin shipyard. Applying the design of Robert Allan Ltd, the vessel measures 32m in length with a moulded breath of 11.6m, a moulded depth of 5.36m and the designed draught is 5.81m.

It can carry 205m3 of fuel oil disposable, 37m3 fresh water, 113m3 ballast water and 12 men. With designed speed of 12knot, the designed ahead bollard pull is 70T and the astern is 60T. Being stable and easily operated, YX3177/78 can satisfy the requirement of navigation, towing and firefighting.

Yuexin Shipbuilding Company Limited, established in the year 2000, is located in the south gate of China. The predecessor of the company was Guangzhou Panyu Tanzhou dockyard which boasted the history of more than 30 years in shipbuilding. Yuexin Shipbuilding covers a total area about 100,000 square meters. It possesses 2 semi-enclosed slipways, 4 slipways with tracks, 2 dry docks with shelter and 3 floating docks. Besides, it also possesses steel plate pretreatment production line, workshops of steel structure fabrication, block fabrication, piping and machinery as well as other equipments including automatic welding, CNC cutting, plate-bending machine, frame-bending machine, plate-shearing machine, shop blasting device, etc. The company is an enterprise of Class Three National Qualifications, Class A Design Qualification of the shipbuilding business in Guangdong Province. So far, Yuexin has delivered more than 60 vessels since it was founded. The company specializes in building series offshore work vessels from 4000 to 16000 horsepower, including DP2 Support/Maintenance Vessel, Multi-purpose Utility Vessels,Anchor Handling Tug/Supply Vessel,ASD Tug and etc.
