The Zhoushan facility with a capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum is China’s first privately-owned large LNG import terminal.

The 145,500-cbm LNG carrier Stena Blue Sky arrived at Zhoushan on Tuesday carrying a cargo from Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex, shipping data provided by VesselsValue shows.

The LNG carrier was still docked on Wednesday at the facility by the time this article was published.

China’s ENN previously signed several LNG supply deals for about 1.5 million tonnes per annum for delivery to its Zhousan terminal.

The deals were signed with France’s Total, US-based Chevron and Australia’s Origin Energy.
