Chugoku Electric of Japan Plans to Buy 2.55 Million Tonnes of LNG

The Chugoku Electric Power Co of Japan said it plans to buy 2.55 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas in the year to March 31.

The western Japan-based electricity supplier expects to buy 1.4 million kilolitres (8.8 million barrels) of fuel oil, 1.09 million kilolitres (6.9 million barrels) of crude oil and 6.11 million tonnes of thermal coal in the year through March, Reuters reported.

The Chugoku Electric Power Co is headquartered in Hiroshima and it has a total electricity generating capacity of 11,986 megawatts.
