CIC Jiangsu Kicks Off Construction of Two BCs

China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (CICJS) started, on Dec 3rd, construction of the first two out of the six 64,000 DWT bulk carriers ordered by the Ness Acquisitions.

The two bulkers, with the hull numbers CIS64000-26, CIS64000-27, are of the next generation of green, energy-saving and environmental protection ultra Handymax ships that are jointly developed by CICJS and Shanghai Ship and Shipping Research Institute.

At the same time, CICJS is actively developing 38,000 DWT, 82,000DWT, 105,000 DWT and 200,000 DWT bulk carriers, together with the 9,400TEU container ships and 300,000 DWT VLCCs.

The two vessels are slated for delivery at the end of 2014.
