Clough wins Ichthys LNG CPF hook-up job

Samsung Heavy Industries contracted LNG engineer Clough to perform hook-up services on the Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG project’s central processing facility.

The scope of work on the semi-submersible structure with topsides weight of 70,000 tons includes the preparation and execution of offshore hook-up activities and assistance to commissioning, Clough said in a statement on Wednesday.

Work on the project is set to commence in the first quarter of 2016 with the mobilisation of engineering and technical teams to the SHI’s Geoje fabrication yard in South Korea before moving offshore in the Browse Basin, 200 km off the northern coastline of Western Australia.

Clough already built the LNG jetty and module offloading facility for the Ichthys LNG project and is currently executing the integrated project management services contract.
