ConocoPhillips Extends Contract for COSLRigmar Until May 2014

COSL Drilling Europe has announced that ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has extended the contract for COSLRigmar on the Ekofisk Field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, with 7 months to 1 May 2014.

In addition there are options in the contract for a duration of up to 6 months which are available for CoPNO if it has a need for more capacity in the Greater Ekofisk Area.

COSLRigmar  is a mobile living quarters facility (jack-up) of an ETA Robroy 300-design.

It was commissioned at Robin Shipyard in Singapore in 1979, originally equipped as a drilling facility. It was converted into a living quarters facility in 1991.

The facility is registered in the Bahamas, with Det norske Veritas as classification society.

COSLRigmar can accommodate 320 people.

The facility is owned and operated by COSL Drilling Europe AS, which has offices in Stavanger.
