Corps Prepares Mystic River Dredging Project

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, the Mystic River dredging project will cost between $5 mln and $10 mln.

This cleanup program, located in Groton and Stonington, Connecticut, will last from four to six months.

Approximately 250,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged and placed at the New London Disposal Site (NLDS) in Long Island Sound or the Rhode Island Sound Disposal Site (RISDS) in Rhode Island Sound.

The solicitation is planned to be issued in June 2014.
