COSCO Zhoushan Delivers Two Bulkers

COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard said that it has delivered two newbuild 64,000 DWT bulk carriers to their customers.

Bulk carrier named Komi has been delivered to a European customer Lomar Shipping.

In February 2012 Lomar signed an order with COSCO Group  for up to six ‘Ultramax’ bulk carriers, scheduled for delivery starting from early 2014.

The ‘Dolphin’ 64,000 dwt vessels have been designed by Chinese design institute Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI) and meet the highest standards for fuel efficiency and environmental compliance, including the latest IACS Common Structural Rules (CSR).

The other newsbuild is a Hong Kong-flagged bulker, named Darya Tiana, which was handed over to Asian buyer Tiana Shipping Limited.

Built to similar specifications, the two vessels measure 199.9 meters in LOA (length of all), 32.26 meters in breadth and 18.5 meters in depth.
