COSL Receives “Exceptional Operational Safety Award”

COSL’s HYSY720 fleet recently received the “Exceptional Operational Safety Award” from Chevron Texaco China Energy Co. “Chevron China” in recognition of its exceptional safety management and performance during a 3D data collection operation.

The operation carried out by the HYSY720 fleet for Chevron China commenced on 28th April and lasted for 94 days. The HYSY720 fleet was highly commended by Mr. Glen Redekop, the project manager of 3D data collection operation at Chevron China, for its outstanding performance. Mr. Joe Ponthier, general manager of the Shenzhen office of Chevron China, presented to the HYSY720 fleet a certificate of “Exceptional Operational Safety Award”.

COSL’s geophysical fleets, i.e. HYSY718, HYSY719 and HYSY720, have been participating in the data collection operations in China South Sea with Chevron China since 2010. Commenting on Chevron’s collaboration with COSL, Mr. Glen Redekop stated, “We have developed an effective communication system and established a solid collaborative relationship with COSL during this three-year cooperation period. Both parties have learned ways to interact and coordinate much more smoothly than ever, thereby established a firm footing for future cooperation.”
