COSL7 Module Rig en Route to Mexico

China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) announced that its newly built module rig, COSL7 is being delivered to Mexico, while installation of modules and pre-operation testing will commence upon its arrival at the Gulf of Mexico.

COSL7, a module rig, is designed to operate in well depths of 25,000 ft, equipped with winch capacity of 3,000 HP, as well as top-drive drilling volume of 750 tonnes. Once delivered to Mexico, COSL7 will provide drilling services to clients in the region for no less than 3 years, where service fees will be relatively higher as compared to previous module rigs.

Apart from COSL7, COSL currently has 4 module rigs providing offshore drilling services in the Gulf of Mexico and their contracts have been renewed continuously.
