Brodosplit Shipyard Lays Keel for 60 m Luxury Passengers Yacht

On December 5th 2011, in Brodosplit shipyard the keel was laid for luxury passengers yacht that BSO is building for Laplain Management Ltd, headquarted in British Virgin Islands.

The 60-metre vessel will be able to host 70 passengers on shorter relations on three decks and two luxurious saloons, while the owner and VIP guests will have some privacy in one of the three top-class cabins that can fit up to six people.

After three cruise ships built for US market from 2006-2008, this contract represents another step forward for Brodosplit Special Naval Shipyard on the demanding world market of high class passenger vessels.

The delivery of yacht is planned in September 2012.

Brodosplit shipyard is located in Split, the regional center of the eastern Adriatic coast and the second largest city in Croatia. At this point Brodosplit grows into the largest Croatian shipyard, today covering an area of 560 000 square meters. Brodosplit’s wider expansion within the demanding international market started in the second half of the past century.

Brodosplit’s production program is wide and varied. Basic and most important products of the company are, of course, ships: commercial, passenger, container, ships for the transport of liquid and bulk cargo, dredgers… and other special types of ships, mostly built for international clients. Each ship must be safe, durable, efficient and reliable at sea and in port.
