The immediate focus of the alliance is to improve the resiliency of power sources for industrial and commercial power users and municipalities in hurricane-damaged Puerto Rico, Crowley said in its statement.

The company has been delivering LNG in ISO containers from Jacksonville, Florida, to industrial and commercial customers throughout Puerto Rico.

Crowley has more than 32MW of LNG supply contracts in Puerto Rico with a growing supply chain as it now has over 98 million gallons of storage available near its terminal in Jacksonville.

On the other hand, PowerSecure has 2.5GWs of microgrid solutions installed capacity.

Greg Buffington, Crowley’s vice president, LNG, said microgrids provide resilient operations to Puerto Rico customers considering the development of energy solutions to meet the diverse industry needs alongside traditional utility services.
