The rig is actively marketed for onwards work, with a number of open tenders and direct negotiations ongoing.

Songa Eclipse carried out top hole drilling at reduced rate for Total E&P Angola during the majority of the month and achieved an operating efficiency of 95% during the operational part of the month. The earlier reported BOP reassembly and testing were completed in parallel of drilling top holes, and last portion of acceptance testing resumed at end of April. The acceptance testing has since progressed in accordance with schedule except for about 3 days of delay caused by a now resolved local labour dispute. The extensive testing program is estimated to be 100% completed within the next few days, the rig will thereafter commence its one well plus 18 month contract with Total E&P Angola under full contractual terms.
