India’s Dahej LNG import terminal received a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar on Thursday, according to shipping data.

The 216,200 cbm Al Thumama tanker is currently docked at the Dahej terminal, owned by India’s biggest importer of the chilled gas, Petronet LNG.

Petronet has recently given green light for further expansion of its LNG terminal in Gujarat to 17.5 million tonne per annum.

The company is already undergoing expansion works at the LNG terminal to boost its capacity to 15 mtpa. The construction works are expected to be complete by November next year.
