DEME Wraps Up Hornsea One Foundations Project
DEME Offshore has installed the last two of 174 foundations for the Hornsea One – the biggest offshore wind farm in the world.
Four jack-up vessels were involved in the execution of the project, for which EEW produced the monopile foundations.
DEME’s unit Tideway previously completed the export cable installation, with the cable totaling 467 kilometers. The cables were manufactured by NKT at their facilities in Cologne and Karlskrona.
The world’s largest offshore wind farm was the first project for Tideway’s new cable installation and multifunctional vessel Living Stone.
The project is located 120 kilometers off the Yorkshire Coast and will consist of 174 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines.
The wind farm is a joint venture between Ørsted and Global Infrastructure Partners.
