Under the agreement, the company’s 2012-built bulker Polymnia would be chartered at a gross charter rate of USD 14,500 per day for a period of twelve to about fourteen months.

The 98,704 dwt ship is expected to commence the charter on October 23, 2019.

Diana Shipping said that the employment would generate around USD 5.22 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Polymnia is currently sailing under a charter deal with Geneva’s Cargill International at a gross charter rate of USD 16,000 per day.
