The platform is one of the main components of TenneT’s DolWin2 offshore grid connection for the North Sea wind farm cluster sited some 45km off the German coast.

The structure weighs approximately 23,000 tonnes and is around 100 meters long, 70 meters wide and 90 meters tall. The topside and substructure were connected in December 2013.

ABB has overall contract responsibility for the platform, where ABB Inocean AB, the joint venture between ABB and Inocean, has been engaged in an array of activities, including project management and fabrication supervision of DolWin Beta.
