Doosan Heavy and KEPCO Target OW Projects Outside Korea

Korean wind turbine maker Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly pursue offshore wind power projects outside Korea.

Doosan Heavy and the state-owned KEPCO will work together on developing, constructing, and operating wind farms abroad, according to the MoU.

KEPCO also agreed to use Doosan Heavy’s wind power generators for future projects overseas.

Doosan Heavy currently has a 3MW offshore wind turbine – WinDS3000TM – in its portfolio. The turbine was developed in 2011.
