Dung Quat Shipbuilding Hosts Japanese Business Delegation

Recently, Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd., (DQS) welcomed Japanese Business Delegation led by Mr. Nakano to seek opportunities for business cooperation.

At the meeting, according to decision 1139/QĐ-TTg date on July 31st, 2009 of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung approved the development plan system reserves of crude oil and petroleum products of Vietnam to 2015, vision to 2025, representing the Japanese delegation presented the strategic importance of energy reserves of oil in the future. Accordingly, the Japanese Business want to cooperate with DQS to building floating oil storage at sea. With advanced technology and long experience in the field of building giant floating storage system in Japan with a staff of skilled engineers, equipment and modern techniques of DQS, the partners hope Japan will be long-term cooperation with DQS.

The report reviews the Japanese business Delegation, Van Phong Bay in Khanh Hoa, Phu Quoc island, Kien Giang Province are the two best places to build floating oil reserves storage the Country. Because this place near the refinery and deep water ports, weather conditions, favorable hydrographic.
