Elengy, Novatek sign LNG transshipment deal

Elengy and Novatek Gas & Power, the unit of Yamal LNG operator, Novatek, have signed a long-term contract to provide transshipment services at the liquefied natural gas terminal of Montoir-de-Bretagne.

Elengy will enable Novatek Gas & Power, to transfer liquefied natural gas cargoes from the Yamal LNG plant to ENGIE’s fleet, following the two companies’ long-term gas supply deal.

Elengy said in a statement it has already performed 4 transshipments between standard vessels since 2013 at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal.

The Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal will be adapted in order to provide these services safely during the entire period of the contract. Elengy said that the transfer rate, in particular, will be improved compared to the current one.

Future LNG production of Yamal project is expected from 2017.
