The Atlas was developed to communicate the diversity of projects, contexts, and organizations that are advancing worldwide progress in the field.

According to the Corps, the Atlas – Volume 2 showcases EWN principles and practices “in action” through 62 projects from around the world.

These projects demonstrate what it means to partner with nature to deliver engineering solutions with triple win benefits.

Each atlas project includes EWN key elements:

  1. Using science and engineering to produce operational efficiencies.
  2. Using natural processes to maximum benefit.
  3. Increasing the value provided by the project to include social, environmental, and economic benefits.
  4. Using collaborative processes to organize and focus interests, stakeholders, and partners.

The virtual book launch ceremony will take place on April 7th 2021, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM CDT US, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM UTC.
