Eni Hires Norisol for ISO Maintenance of Goliat Platform (Norway)

Eni Norge is entering into an agreement for the provision of ISO services on the Goliat platform. The value of the contract will be just over NOK 300 million (USD 52.2 million).

This is one of several maintenance contracts to be awarded in connection with the operation and maintenance of the Goliat facilities.

The contract will apply to the following activities: Insulation, Scaffolding and access, Surface treatment, Passive fire prevention, Access technology, Welding habitats and Engineering associated with pertinent technical fields.

Some of the personnel provided will form part of the basic crew and will also be assigned tasks in the Goliat contingency organisation.

“We will now build up a project organisation and establish a new local office in Hammerfest. Norisol’s aim is to ensure that employees from the local area are mobilised in connection with this contract. To ensure future recruitment in the field of ISO services, we intend to maintain close, positive collaboration with the educational institutions in the area” says Merethe Knappskog, Managing Director of Norisol.

The contract, which is potentially worth NOK 300 million, will have a duration of three years with options for two extensions of two years each.

The contract encompasses services both offshore and onshore in the operational phase, as well as the continuous operational preparations before start-up.

Upcoming contracts:

The ISO contract now awarded to Norisol is the second Goliat service contract to fall into place. The first contract is linked to Operations and Maintenance Services. During this year’s supplier seminar in Hammerfest in June, other contracts coming up during the next twelve months were presented, including Maintenance and Modifications, Catering, Consumables Supply and Service Contracts for critical equipment.

Goliat is the first oil field to come on stream in the Barents Sea. Eni Norge is the operator of the field with Statoil as its partner.

Eni Norge is part of Eni, an Italian integrated energy company with operations in 85 countries.
