ENN opens LNG fueling station in Zaandam

ENN Clean Fuels on Tuesday opened a new LNG refueling station at Albert Heijn’s distribution center in Zaandam, the Netherlands.

In collaboration with logistics service provider Simon Loos, 30 LNG-powered trucks were introduced into Albert Heijn’s fleet for retail distribution in 2011.

According to ENN’s statement, currently, over 10 percent of all trucks that serve Albert Heijn run on LNG and the new station will be used by Albert Heijn charters that serve the region.

The new LNG refueling facility replaces ENN’s semi-mobile station in Zaandam. The new installation has a storage capacity of 60.000 liters of LNG, sufficient to refuel 150 trucks every day.

The facility will be monitored remotely by ENN’s operations department that also provided safety and refueling training, and certification of the drivers that will use the facility.
