The United Arab Emirates-based company, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia’s Eversendai Corporation Berhad, is in charge of manufacturing athe jacket foundation and accompanying piles for the platform to be installed at the Hollandse Kust Zuid offshore wind farm zone in the Netherlands.

Eversendai Offshore is carrying out the works at its fabrication yard in RAK Maritime City, Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates.

The company was awarded the contract for the HKZ Beta platform’s foundation by Petrofac. For the construction of the substation’s topside, Petrofac chose Drydocks World. The Dubai-based company cut the first steel for its part of the platform also at the end of May.

Petrofac signed the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for both the Alpha and Beta offshore substations with TenneT in 2018, with the Beta platform then being under option. The order was confirmed in the summer of 2019.

The Dutch 1.4 GW Hollandse Kust Zuid zone comprises four offshore wind farms that will be connected to both the Alpha and Beta substations.
